Sustainability

Within Strandhotel Camperduin we strive for a sustainable purchasing policy with the hope that our suppliers will also purchase in a more innovative and sustainable manner. We do this by making conscious choices with every purchase and considering the possibility of fair trade, organic certified and/or regional products etc. When making choices about purchasing products, we consider the effect on the environment and humanity. We look at each product and service in isolation, so that the choice of suppliers and products is based on what is best for the environment and surroundings.

CSR Statement

Strandhotel Camperduin is located in the middle of nature - in beautiful surroundings. To keep this environment - near but also further away - also beautiful, we make a daily effort to limit our impact on this environment. This goes beyond the applicable laws and regulations on a national or local level. Because we believe that sustainability and social impact can go hand in hand with a great experience at our Strandhotel. So that our guests now and in the future, can relax in a healthy and natural Camperduin.

- We are continuously working to reduce environmental impact and increase the sustainable nature of our business.

- We continually work to better integrate our properties into the natural environment.

- We monitor our impact annually and report on it to our stakeholders. This includes energy consumption and food waste.

- We continuously work on the (digital) safety and health of our guests. We do this by training our employees and regularly maintaining our (security) installations.

- We inform guests and suppliers that we are socially responsible. We do this both offline and online.

- We make transparent agreements with guests and suppliers about the quality of our products and how we monitor this quality.

- We monitor both the continuity of our business and that of the employee, and we make provisions should we face loss of income.

- We voluntarily contribute to community causes through donations and sponsorships and/or through volunteering.

- We continually work to improve our own procurement process and focus particularly on goods and services that are sustainable, preferably carrying an environmental sustainability and/or social label.

- We determine the social impact of our services and mitigate it to the extent possible to the extent that it is a negative impact, such as fraudulent conduct, harassment exploitation and child labor.
