Culinary delights in Camperduin

During your stay at the Schoorl Dunes we offer you several options for food & drinks. In the restaurant in our hotel you can wake up quietly with a view of the Schoorl dunes - in fine weather you can also have breakfast on our terrace. You can dine in our restaurant Struin with stunning views of the North Sea and Hondsbossche Zeewering.

Starting April 1, Struin will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (kitchen until 9 p.m.). Closed in the evening for dinner. Starting May 6, Struin will be open all week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (kitchen until 9 p.m.)


Struin is 200 meters from our hotel and here you can order delicious fish, salads or meat dishes during the day. And don't forget to try the delicious, freshly baked Struin apple pie during your stay. Here you can view the menu of Struin. In the afternoon and evening you can also enjoy a drink at the hotel - in our restaurant, on the terrace or on our dune table.

Strandhotel Camperduin Breakfast

Breakfast is served every morning in our breakfast restaurant with terrace directly bordering the dunes. We serve breakfast every day until 11 am. You can tell our breakfast staff your wishes and your breakfast will be served at your table. With nice weather we also offer you the possibility to have breakfast outside on the terrace.

You can reserve a table between 08.00 - 09.00, 09.00 - 10.00 and 10.00-11.00. Reserve your time slot via our reception, this can be done before arrival via email or upon arrival at our reception.

    * The white and brown bread were specially developed for the Strandhotel Camperduin and Struin by the local "Bakker Bakker" from Schoorl.
    * Our choice for cheeses is composed by cheese farmer Niek from Schoorl. (Eg. Young mature cheese from the Beemster
    * The meat products that are served bear the Beter Leven quality mark and where possible Organic. (Ask about the cold cuts of the day)

  • For our guests with gluten allergies, we serve delicious gluten-free breads at breakfast. You can specify this when making your reservation.

  • We offer standard soy yogurt at breakfast and fresh fruit is available. You can choose from pumpkin or natural hummus. In addition, our vegan croissant is also delicious! Should you have other special requests at breakfast we would be happy to discuss this with you.

  • Much of our breads are lactose free and we serve soy yogurt & milk. If desired, we can also order lactose-free cheese for you or serve our vegan croissant. Please discuss your requirements with our front desk.

Breakfast costs €16,- per person. (Children up to 5: free, 5 to 13 :€9,-). Reservations are required. Report to one of our staff upon arrival.

Where does your breakfast come from?

For years we have been working together with other (family) businesses on your breakfast. With natural products from the region, Europe and the rest of the world. The hard-working families who have contributed to breakfast for years with passion for their craft include the Baker family, Painter family and the Vercher family.

Family Bakker

The Bakker family from Groet and Schoorl have been local warm bakers for more than 50 years, who are dedicated to the bakery trade, work with the best raw materials and make bread and pastries in their own bakery and in the traditional way. Especially for the beach hotel and pavilion Struin, the Bakker family bakes the beachcomber bread that is loved by our guests. Would you also like to see how things are going in the bakery? Family Vercher 

For top quality oranges you have to be in Spain. The Bolcher family business of the Vercher family has a wealth of experience in growing, harvesting and processing lemons, oranges and mandarins. The Spanish family business was founded in 1922. The third generation is now at the helm. The Bollo plantation has a perfect sun position. The trees are planted from low to high against the mountainside. Bollo has its own source to provide the trees with enough water. A modern irrigation system does the rest. Family Schilder

Beemster cheese is a smooth, tasty cheese from the heart of the Beemster polder. One of the suppliers of this cheese is the care farm André Hoeve from Spierdijk. André and Jolanda Schilder, and the children Linn, Stan, Mel and Bo are the owners of this dairy farm. We recommend to visit the World Heritage Beemster polder. A beautiful area for cycling.
